WELCOME to BALAI AZINAN. This is a family beach resort managed with love by the Reandelar and Frazier Families. We started this resort with a goal of creating a fun and enjoyable place for everyone to come together and relax. Whether your group is small or large, friends or family, classmates or coworkers, we hope that you find your visit here to be memorable.
We explored several properties that were available and also toured some of the local beach resorts to get an idea of what we liked and what we might do differently. What we discovered is that all of the places lacked something but we weren’t sure what exactly that was at the time. Some were very well maintained and modern but seemed more commercial and foreign. Some of the available properties were close to very busy areas and some had very rocky beach areas with not many trees near the shore. Nothing we saw seemed to fit what we had envisioned as the perfect place to retreat and reconnect with family, friends and with nature.
That all changed one day when we made a visit to an old familiar place to the family. A place owned by close family friends. A place where family members used to visit as kids to go swimming and playing on the beach. A place where they used to attend retreats. A place that felt like “home”. I remember vividly the dive over to see it for the first time.
The grotto on the hill just across the street was pointed out where there is a statue Our Lady of Fatima and the children. We crossed the well-maintained rice fields and then along a coconut tree-lined path that opened up to a view of the water. As we walked towards the beach I noticed this old paved section. This was the original salt house for the area and is the reason this place is known as “asinan”.
Moving on, Immediately as we stepped down on to the beach next to an old tree, the cool breeze welcomed us and the only sounds we could hear were the birds and the water hitting the shore. The sand was soft and the water was clear. For the first time in all of our visits, this place felt peaceful, welcoming like we were in a secluded private beach surrounded by the beauty of nature.
I remember the sun starting to set and how calm the water was. We didn’t want to leave. We knew at that moment that this place was special and this was the place we had been dreaming about for so long. It is finally a reality and now we can share our dream with all of you. We hope that you will feel the same peacefulness here that we felt and that you will enjoy creating memories here with your friends and loved ones.
Our logo is personally designed by a good friend “Joe Fedelicio” in collaboration with the resort owners. Below is its definition:
The green shaped “B” stands for Balai which is the name of our resort and it represents the nature, the beauty of the green trees around it from which our resort is most loved of.
The tree house is one of our signature lodgings with a “leaf” inside it that defines our love/care for the nature and which spells out our “A” for Azinan to complete the resort name “Balai Azinan”.
The tree where the house is sitting if you look closely is in the form of “r” which stands for Reandelar and the step in the trunk below it is the letter “F” for Frazier of which two last names are behind the birth of the resort.
The waves below the treehouse with light to darker blue colors represent the calm sea and the waves above the B are the sky/cloud with bird/egrets on them that can be seen in the resort during its low tide season. The yellow orange under the tree is for the root and its ground.
The red pinkish and purple are the wings showing a silhouette of a butterfly representing “life”. The antenna of the butterfly on the side is to add balance to the logo.
The 2 swings hanging in the trunk of the tree are to represent our commitment for a family oriented resort that will give fun and enjoyment for the kids and/or for couple’s iconic photo ops.
